Question 1: What level of French is required to get points in Express Entry?

Answer 1: You need NCLC level 7 in the French language exam that can also be called French level B2. For Score equivalence, you can check the Canada immigrations official site.

Question 2: Which exams are acceptable by CIC?

Answer 2: For Express Entry, Canada immigration accepts TEF Canada and TCF CANADA. Quebec immigration accepts TEFQ and TCFQ.

Question 3: How many points will I get for French in Express Entry?

Answer  3: If you score NCLC 7 or higher on all four French language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), you will get: – 

  • 25 additional points if you scored CLB 4 or lower in English (or you have not had an English test); or
  • 50 additional points if you scored CLB 5 or higher on all four English skills
  • Apart from these extra points, you will get 4 points per module for CLB 7.

Question 6: IELTS 8777 or French B2 level what is practical?

Answer 6: IELTS 8777 is highly competitive. Even if your English is good, it is hard to get 8777 scores because IELTS marking in the written exam is very tough. Many students complain of lacking 0.5 in writing. However, French exams are less competitive in that department. French is easier due to the lack of competition in Exams.
